Privacy Policy — Ilm by Nouman

Information We Collect

This app does not collect any personally identifiable information (name, email, phone, location, device IDs, etc.).

Local Data Storage

The app stores the following locally on your device only using Android SharedPreferences:

• Which lessons you have opened
• Your progress within each lesson (letters/words marked as learned)
• The last lesson you visited (for the "Continue" button)
• A one-time flag for celebrating completion of all 30 lessons

This data is never transmitted to any server, shared with third parties, or used for analytics.

Network Access

The app requests the INTERNET permission for:

• Opening external links — When you tap WhatsApp, Patreon, or social media buttons, the app opens the corresponding website/app. No data is sent by the app itself.
• Loading fonts — Lessons use Google Fonts (Amiri, Noto Naskh Arabic, Baloo 2) loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. This involves standard web requests (IP address, user agent) to Google's font servers. No app or user data is included.

Third-Party Services

• Google Fonts — Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• WhatsApp / Patreon / Social Media — Subject to their respective privacy policies when you choose to visit them

Children's Privacy

This app is designed for children learning Quranic Arabic. It does not collect any data from children, does not use advertising, and does not track behavior.

Data Security

All data remains on your device. Android's sandbox prevents other apps from accessing it. You can clear it anytime via System Settings → Apps → Ilm by Nouman → Storage → Clear Data.

Changes to This Policy

Updates will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
