We take exactly that part — correct makharij, Tajweed rules, unpicking mistakes — and leave the maktab to do everything else. Most parents find their child’s standing in the maktab class improves within a couple of months.
Regularly. Adults who want to read the Quran properly for the first time, or who want to correct recitation they learned imperfectly as children, are a significant part of what we do. Evening slots to 10pm suit working adults, and the Noorani Qaida works perfectly well for a complete adult beginner.
