Toronto has the largest Muslim population of any Canadian city, and it is spread across the whole Greater Toronto Area rather than concentrated in one district — Scarborough and North York in the city itself, and Mississauga and Brampton to the west, where the Muslim communities are among the fastest-growing in the country. The community is unusually broad in origin: Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian families alongside Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian and Palestinian households, a large Somali community, and significant Afghan, Albanian, Bosnian and Iranian populations.
What that means in practice is that Toronto families have plenty of options for Islamic education and very little time to reach them. Between the school day, homework, and the commuting distances across the GTA, a 30-minute lesson at home often beats an hour of driving to a class and back.

Toronto’s Muslim community includes large Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian populations alongside Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Palestinian, Somali, Afghan and Iranian families. Urdu, Bengali, Arabic and Somali are spoken at home. Teaching is delivered in clear English, with Arabic content taught through the Qaida method.
Slots run 4pm–9pm Eastern Time on weekdays and 9am–7pm at weekends, fitting the Ontario school day and its after-school commitments. Our teachers work on Pakistan Standard Time, which is 9 to 10 hours ahead of Toronto, so the earliest slots are the most limited — 4pm and 5pm go first each term. If your child has hockey, swimming or tutoring straight after school, tell us early and we will hold a later slot instead.

Yes — students come to us from Toronto itself, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Ajax and Pickering. Because lessons are online, the distance across the GTA stops being a factor in choosing a teacher.
Weekday slots run 4pm–9pm Eastern Time and weekend slots 9am–7pm. Our teachers work from Pakistan Standard Time, which is 9 to 10 hours ahead of Toronto, so the early slots are limited and fill quickly. Book before the term starts if you need a 4pm or 5pm lesson.
Yes. Qualified female tutors are available for girls and for adult sisters and can be requested when you book. If the pairing is not right after the first lesson, tell us and we will change it — getting the teacher match right is more important in 1-to-1 teaching than anything else.
Yes, and it is the arrangement most GTA families use. A class of twenty cannot give your child twenty minutes of individual recitation. We take exactly that part — correct makharij, Tajweed rules, unpicking mistakes — and the school continues to cover the broader curriculum. The two work well together rather than competing.
Packages start at C$35 a month for two weekend classes and go up to C$87 a month for five weekday classes, with C$47 and C$70 options in between. Every new student starts with a free 30-minute trial lesson.
Regularly. Adults who grew up reading transliteration rather than the Arabic script, and reverts starting from the very beginning, are both completely normal starting points and make up a significant share of our Canadian students. The first priority is usually correct pronunciation of al-Fatihah and the short surahs needed for salah.
