Kirklees’s Muslim community is predominantly Pakistani and Kashmiri, with Mirpuri, Punjabi and Urdu spoken at home. Teaching is delivered in English, with Urdu support available on request.
Kirklees weekday slots run 4pm–10pm and weekends 10am–8pm. In a 30-minute 1-to-1 lesson, your child recites aloud and is corrected for the entire half hour. That is roughly ten times the individual practice, and it is the single variable that most affects how fast Tajweed improves.
English by default, with Urdu support available. Most children we teach here speak English as their first language even where Mirpuri or Urdu is spoken at home, and teaching Tajweed in the language a child thinks in makes a measurable difference to how quickly the rules stick.
Yes — that is the normal arrangement. If your child is at maktab five evenings a week, use our weekend sessions for Tajweed correction and leave the weekday routine untouched. It is a combination that works well and does not overload the child.
