Online Quran Classes in Coldhurst, Oldham

Coldhurst holds around half of Oldham’s entire Bangladeshi population — one of the most concentrated single-community wards in the North of England. The area around Coldhurst Street and the streets running down towards the town centre is the centre of Sylheti community life in Oldham, with a corresponding density of masjids and maktabs.

Families here often want two things at once: that their children read the Quran properly with Tajweed, and that they keep the Bengali and Sylheti that ties them to their family’s roots. Our lessons are in English with the Arabic taught through the Qaida method, and Bengali-speaking parents are welcome to sit in and ask questions as we go.

Because the Muslim wards sit within a couple of miles of the town centre, most children here can walk to maktab, and the after-school window fills quickly. If your child is at maktab until 7pm, the 7:30pm or weekend slots are the realistic option — and a weekend-only arrangement used purely for Tajweed works very well alongside it.
